QUILT MURAL
Kayce and Jonathan Singleton live outside of Nashville, Tn. They reached out to me to create a mural that looked a lot "cooler" than your typical barn mural. This barn sits at the beginning of their driveway, and you can't miss it on your drive up to the house. The more I researched quilts the more I noticed that quilts tell stories, and each quilt square has a meaning to it. So I asked them to provide a list of words that mean something to them. From that list I created elements to depict each word. Once the elements were approved I started to put this pattern that weaves together the "important things" of Kayce and Jonathan's lives. Kayce love's the beach and her aesthetic leans towards mid-centry modern. This gave me the direction I needed for deciding on a color palette. I'm so thankful to have been able to create such a personal piece of art for some very dear friends of mine! Thank you Nathan Brown for assisting on this mural
